A small advert in the Ashbourne News Telegraph in January 2003 invited interested people to meet at Ashbourne Bowls Club to discuss the formation of a local vintage tractor club.
Word of mouth rapidly spread around the "old tractor community", and those attending found a room packed with interested potential members, and it quickly became obvious that the new club would get off to a flying start.
The first formal meeting was held in February 2003, and as they say, the rest is history.
The club currently has about 60 paid up members
